It does not look really formal, hon. You could wear nice shoes and do a partial up do with your hair to make it more formal. Are your friends wearing shorter dresses? Go with a longer dress for a "formal" gathering.

This is a better dress. Yeah I know it is all white but this way you can wear ANY accesory that you want, ANY Color too. What ever your faveorite color make it your accessory color. And you can just wear PLAIN Flip Flops... Like from OldNavy....Have Fun!
I would not wear the one you choose out but If you like it. Honestly mine is a better choice and if someone else had it YOURS would still be your own with your HOTT bracelets and earings and such!
If your hair is long, wear it down. If you really do not want it down then curl it and make a side pony. Not a high one but just one that is behind the ear...

I'm in 8th grade and I think that's very appropriete. It isn't too fancy, but it has that nice look about it that shows you cared. I would say to accesorize with white, since that's the secondary color of the dress. Try getting a short, chunky beaded white necklace similart to this one:

and some white shoes, patent leather is always nice. Also, for hair, curling it is a cute way to not be too over the top. Maybe you could use a little white flower or something to tuck behind your ear? They sell those at WetSeal too.

it's a cute dress. im not so fond of polka dots but its pretty. I am graduating from 8th grade too. The only bad thing is, black, is not a spring color. I would go with something brighter %26amp; more fun but if you decide to keep it get silver wedges or any wedges.

this is also really cute. its plain but you can pair it up with any shoes [black, silver, gold, white, beige] and wear any accessories. Also hair down straightr or curls are always good. but loose curls

I think this dress is a little "old" for a girl in the 8th grade. Sorry. I do think you should style your hair, but do it simply, and try to look fresh and natural. Bringing out vitality and youth is what you should be aiming for. Don't get caught up trying to look older. You'll get there all to soon.

It looks very nice...kind of retro too. Maybe try that retro hair do of a pony with the front teased and pulled back so it fluffs up just a little on top. You should probably keep it very light with accessories, maybe just one white bangle bracelet. The shoes should be on the simpler side...maybe a white wedge or flat shoe. Have fun :D

i LOVE the dress and i'm in 8th grade too so i know how you feel. a black polka dotted hairband would look awesome. the shoes i would get black rounded toe pumps. the hair.....if you have really curly hair get a updo with a few strands of hair in the front hanging down if you have wavy hair then curl it into ringlets w/ a 1/2 in curling iron put A LOT of hairspray on it and then run your hands through it lightly so you don't look like a doll, and if you have straight hair get a really good straightner and try to get any bumps out so you can get it stick straight

honestly, i would go more sparkle. i just had my 8th grade formal last week and i wore a coral colored sparkley dress. thats wat most of the girls wore. sparkles, sparkles, and more sparkles!!!

The dress is beautiful and fine for your 8th grade formal. Wear your hair up in a bun and silver sling-back heels to match the stone on your dress. Long bangle silver earrings.

i think it's really cute and preety. And apropiate. You should look beautiful in it. I would say some color just to brighten it up. I don't think a neclace would go well with this dress. The necline is so beautiful, you shouldn't take away from it.
