I'm going into high school and i am giving myself a make-over.

Last year i wore alot of sweats and hoodies and the same stuff alot , my hair was the same everyday, had bushy eyebrows, wore no make-up and not alot of confidence. I was also a shy quite person.

I was sick of the way i was so i saved up my birthday money and got $600 worth of new clothes. I got lots of varity and different things that i would never wear last year. I got some cute stuff from hollister and abercrombie and mixed in some other stuff and some nice accessories.

I got make-up from sephora. And i'm going for natural make-up. I getting my hair cut soon and i'm getting choppy layers with sidebangs.

Also i'm getting my eyebrows waxed.

And i'm getting a manicure that is really unique with a neat design on it.

And also, i did this for myself not for anyone else.

Will people see me in a different way, or the same?

My personality hasnt changed much but i will be more friendlier. Im trying to make new friends

More than anything, including your looks, just make sure you don't start acting like you are above everyone else! From what you wrote it doesn't sound like it, but I think if you start behaving like you are the best kid around school, then all of your work that you put into your appearance will be worth nothing.

So, like you said, continue to be friendly! You will have a great year. Just be sure you keep up your new appearance!!

well i think it's great that u pampered urself .. i'm sure people will notice and may find u easier to approach ... but if u make new friends it will be because of ur personalitly and not ur looks so dont give all the credit to ur physical apperance

I bet you look great! But, unfortunately, we all made our first impressions in kindergarten, and first impressions still count for a lot. Just act friendlier, and open up a little more. Try to make casual conversation with everyone. Hopefully, people will see you for who you truly are and you'll make new friends!

You sound like you really wanted a change for yourself and that is a good thing...it shows you are maturing. But no matter, what "labels" you wear,even A%26amp;F and Hollister, it is not going to make you a better person. That comes from within ,period. Those labels are expensive and sorry, do not show any individuality. You should create your own style though.....sounds like a great haircut, your nails will look manicured and groomed and you have definitely taken the initiative to "change" your outward appearance, but spending alot of money on everything is silly. You say you did this for "you", so why are you posting it on Yahoo? Be yourself, be confident, and remember all clothes and make-up are just "window-dressing" ....people should like you for you, not your clothes, make-up, hair, whatever.....I am sure you are a great person...and that is the best fashion statement of all!

i see why you want to change. I am going into high school to. But this happened to me the year when i was going to eight grade which was last year. The year before eigth grade i was really mean and kind of goth. I gave myself a complete make over. I did almost everything you did. I made 100's of friends. beleive it or not i am one of the popular girls in my school now. Plus i have gotten like 4 boyfriends since i have changed. lol. But yes, people will definetly see you in a different way. By the way, a few people might make fun of you because you changed. It will only be the people that are jealous of you and dont like you because you look absolutly adorable now. lol. But if one of your friends starts making fun of you. Its just because you look better then them and they are jealous. Plus if they were real friends they would not make fun of you. another tip to becoming more preppy and pretty. Have long blonde hair. If it is not blonde. Just grow it out long.
