Black + silver dress.....?

hey! i bought a satin knee length , spaghetti strap, black empire waist dress, with some silverish white print all over , for a party this weekend.... could you guys tell me what makeup and what shoes, jewellery , and other accessories would go with it?

any suggestions on how i should do my hair?i was just planning on straightening it and wearing it down....

ooh pretty! i would wear a pair of shoes (maybe heels or flats) the same color as the silverish print as most of the dress is black. because of the print, you really don't need to wear a lot of jewelry. maybe a pair of dangly earrings and a subtle necklace/bracelet. for makeup, i would wear a silver eye shadow if you really want to emphasize the print or a blue eyeshadow for brown/green eyes and a green eyeshadow for blue eyes. if you go heavy on the eyeshadow, wear a light lip gloss. if you go lighter on the eyeshadow then wear a lip-stick in a reddish tone. your hair would look pretty straightened and wearing it down. depending on if you're planning to dance an updo might get kind of messy.... either way, its perfectly fine and safe. good luck and have fun!

I wouldn't wear too much jewelry with it. It might take away from the silvery print if that is a major part of the dress. I might only wear earrings with it, because they are farther away from your torso, where your dress will be, and they will be less likely to compete with the flashy print. Wearing your hair in a simple way like you described sounds nice. As for makeup, I would go for a black or grey smokey eye, not anything colorful. I guess you can tell, I like it if there is a "centerpiece" to an outfit, so to speak, and the smokey eye will match the dress but not detract from it. Good luck!
